Macee Binns is an actress and award-winning writer originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry and further her education in the creative arts. She has since appeared in several film, television and stage productions. Her feature film credits include roles in: FDR: American Badass!, Static and Edge of Tomorrow. Macee most recently played news reporter, Sandy Killings, in the feature film Miles Away, which premiered in Los Angeles theaters in the Summer of 2017, and is scheduled to release in Arthouse Theaters nationwide. Some of her television credits include appearances in 2 Broke Girls, Men of a Certain Age, The Doctors and Luck. Macee can be seen in a sketch with actor, Andy Samberg, on the television show Comedy Bang! Bang! and she is currently appearing in multiple episodes of Hangar 1: The UFO Files on the History Channel.
Macee is an accomplished writer that has won several awards for her plays, screenplays, short stories and articles. In 2014, her script Row 28 was awarded the title of Official Finalists at the prestigious Hollywood Screenplay Contest out of the hundreds of entries submitted from around the world. Subsequently, her stage play version of Row 28 was published by JAC Publishing & Promotions in 2017, and is currently for sale on Amazon and Kindle eBooks. An original monologue from Macee's latest play Stone Cold Sober was selected by Smith and Kraus Publishing for print in their annual anthology series: The Best Women's Stage Monologues of 2017. Macee's play Now Boarding was published by Off The Wall Plays in the spring of 2017, and her comedic one-act play Candi With An I was recently published by Heuer Publishing and has been included in their 2017-2018 Catalog for the Performing Arts.
Macee has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting for Film. She currently resides in Hollywood; where she continues to work as an actress, writer and blogger. Macee is currently working as a Staff Content Writer for the popular news media site TheRichest.com, and she is also a Reporting Journalist at The Canyon News in Los Angeles.
