THOUGHTS FROM A TINY ASS CHAIR BLOG

Thoughts From a Tiny-Ass Chair was a women’s comedy blog co-created in 2017 by Macee Binns and Fernanda Chaves, centered around the absurdities of life and dating in Los Angeles.

The name was born during the blog’s very first creative meeting, which took place in a swanky Beverly Hills Starbucks—where Macee and Fern found themselves crammed into tiny-ass chairs (barely 12 inches off the ground), balancing drinks, laptops, and food on a miniature wooden stump that could hardly pass for a table. Finding this a fitting metaphor for the chaos of adulthood, the blog ran with it.

Though the site itself is no longer active, the selected posts featured here are original pieces written solely by Macee Binns. These short comedic lifestyle essays capture the humor, chaos, and cringe-worthy charm of navigating adulthood—one tiny-ass chair at a time.

Hello from the Other Side...

If our first creative meeting is any indication of what writing this blog is going to be like… then we’re in deep shit. This morning, Fern and I found ourselves in a swanky Starbucks, attempting to launch our comedy blog whilst sitting in a tiny-ass chair and struggling to balance our laptops on a miniature wooden stump that these bougie Beverly Hills folk have deemed a table. Thus, the Thoughts From a Tiny-Ass Chair blog was born.
